My daughter does not want to choose among her 6 female attendants who is maid of honor, etc, so she is only listing her best friend as "Maid Of Honor" on the program. This friend is married, is this title still ok to use?
Also, a close friend is singing at the wedding and does not want any compensation, however we purchased a gift certificate for her. Now she told us that her uncle will accompany her with the guitar so are we obligated to also provide him with something?

We are getting married in October 2006 and have a soloist coming in to sing; the "traditonal" wedding ceremony music like Canon in D, trumpet voluntary, etc are just not our style. I want something to reflect us, not to mention this man can SING!! We were thing of more classic R&B selections like Here & Now, So Amazing, IN YOU, We must be in Love. Is that selection ok for a church?

I would like to have karaoke at my wedding reception, but am not sure where I can rent the karaoke equipment. I know it sounds like it might be cheesy but my family is very musical and will be very entertaining (in a classy way)! If you can direct me to some possibilities, that would be very helpful.
Thank you a bunch wedding guys.

I asked someone to sing a solo at my wedding. However, since then, we have decided to have an outside wedding instead of one in a church. Now we would like to have more informal music during the ceremony. Is there a tactful way that I can call her and explain this, or is that totally rude?

My fiancé and I are planning a July 2006 wedding. We are both Catholic and both want to get married in the church. My hometown church allows me to hire outside for singers & musicians if I wish. I plan to put my little touches all over the ceremony -- as I love some of the traditions of the Catholic Church -- but my tastes are diverse and the music will reflect that. I live in San Francisco and am moving back to Minneapolis, where my fiancé lives. Finally -- the question! I want certain songs sung pre-ceremony and during the ceremony that would require a Luther Vandross or Briab McKnight-type voice (OK, I know there will NEVER be another Luther, but I want someone who can sing 'So Amazing' in their own way!). Since I don't live there now (moving next month), can you give me any advice in locating gospel, soul, r&b, etc... singers (1 male, 1 female) for my ceremony? I've googled and googled and am striking out. Perhaps I am better served by writing thoughtful letters to some traditionally-African American churches in the metro area? Help. Would love gospel singers for my wedding.

My fiance and I orginally planned on getting married outside, however I really wanted to get married in the Catholic Church so we decided to get married in my own Church. However my fiance really wants bagpipes at the ceremony representing his own heritage. I have only seen bagpipes at outdoor weddings. Would it be strange to have them indoors also? Thanks for your help!

My girlfriend is getting married 4/16 and wants to dedicate a song to her son after she and her husband have their first dance (Simple Man - Lynerd Skynerd) for she and her son to dance to. Her daughter is also there and they would like to dedicate a song to her as well, to dance with her new stepfather. Someone suggested Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett, but it sounds more like a song from a father to his daughter. Any suggestions for something more appropriate, since my girlfriend's ex (the father of her children) is still alive and well, albeit not in the picture? Thanks for your response

I am getting married this July at a lake. Since we will be outside with no sound system, I have asked a friend to play acoustic guitar while the guests are arriving and for my entrance. He is very talented, but is not sure what to play. Any suggestions? I'd like something simple yet beautiful. Thanks so much

Hello. I would like your opinion on music for the ceremony. My niece id goign to sing for us (she is a canadian idol contestant topp 100!, so proud) and we cant seem to find music that is appropriate. I am thinking of Breath by faith hill while guests wait but I would like to for before I come in (it is a small wedding 20 guests) there will be no maid of honour in our ceremony either. So in total I am trying to find about 5 songs. Do you suggest any classical songs (Beethoveen my fav) for the wedding march? It is my last item to plan and I need to know so she can practice! Help! You guys are great!! Thanks.

I need some direction for ceremony music. I am getting married at Majestic Oaks Golf Course outside and using the facilities sound system that only plays cds. I am having a heck of a time finding just accompaniment music for my singer. I had the songs on cassette but we can't use them and I need to know where to go to find accompaniment music on a cd and the sheet music that goes with it.
Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
natalie ueland

My parents are divorced. My dad hasn't been in my life for a long time. Is there a father daughter song that would be suitable for my wedding? If so where can I find it?
Thanks
